Hi! My name is Kax and I’m a Product Manager currently living in Barcelona!
I have been helping online marketplaces and shopping sites in more than 30 countries succeed in enabling people in their daily lives for the last 5 years. In my journey as a Product Manager, I’ve worked in many different technology environments. From starting up in a team with just 3 people – a lone engineer, the CEO, and myself and the 3 of us shacked up in a tiny office trying to build a website. To being part of a multinational company with over 3000 experts in different fields such as User Experience, Data Science, Developers, Sales, and Marketing, all trying to reach the same goal – which is the company success, while maneuvering simple hurdles such as working in different time zones.
And yet, even with all these years of building products, the learning has not even slowed down. And every day, I am still learning new prioritization techniques, better ways to develop an effective product strategy, and new arguments for why the roadmap is dead, and more.
And all these I am eager to share with all of you, but not without an agenda, of course. I do have some hopes attached:
- That my sharing of the things I’ve learned and am still learning can be of value to fellow Product Managers out there, especially to the new blood who are still trying to figure out what being a Product Manager really means – and how to explain this strange role to their parents.
- That whatever I share here can start a discussion and collaboration to further deepen any learnings that I may have started out with. And therefore, we all end up with a stronger, much more robust Product Manager toolkit.
So let me end this blabbering here, and let’s get on with the point!
